summer case study: leigh ann

When I tell you you are a cool season (Summer or Winter), that doesn’t mean you can only wear the “cool colors” aka blues, greens, and purples.

That means that all of your thousands of colors need to trend cool, aka they have at least a drop of blue in them, even your reds, yellows, and browns. 🤎

For example, take Leigh Ann in soft, cool rose brown, then earthy, warm coffee brown, you’ll see some subtle but powerful changes. 🧐

Summer vs Autumn

In the Summer rose brown (photo 1), Leigh Ann’s complexion is bright, even, and healthy. Her face is in focus, and even her lips are naturally matching the rose brown drape. Her eyes and hair are sparkling! She’s a Summer! 🤎

Next up, in the earthy warm coffee brown of Autumn, Leigh Ann has gone sallow. Her skin has turned yellow, and she doesn’t look healthy.

Guys, I didn’t edit this photo, it is the drape doing this to her.

You can also see that her lips are drained of their healthy flush, and she appears generally out of focus and “off”.

All warm colors will have this unnatural effect on her. 🍂

Summer vs Winter

In Summer lemonade yellow (photo 1), we can focus on Leigh Ann’s face. The color looks settled and comfortable on her, like it belongs.

In Winter acid yellow (photo 2), Leigh Ann’s delicate coloring and soft complexion is overwhelmed and washed out. I feel distracted by the yellow, like it is fighting against her.

Check out that side-by-side (above, photo 3) and see which color suits her better.

She’s a True Summer!
